Okay, let’s try this thing. The site is still slower than a snail through molasses for me, but I’m determined to try and get a post out.

Today’s post is brought to you by the letter R (or, more precisely, ARGH!) and the numbers one to ten (as in that’s what I’m counting to). Yes, my sartorial darlings, Virtual Bloke is still wobbling on its server, rocking on its pretty little heels and enduring the fallout from that hardware failure and subsequent server move. I’m trying to be gracious about the whole thing, as I know I’m not the only one having issues, and my webhosts have probably been working overtime to try and mitigate all the problems, but damn… it’s hard not to get frustrated. I’m losing the connection to my server every five minutes, for up to three minutes at a time. That, as you may imagine, doesn’t leave me with a lot of time to type before the connection carks it again!

Okay, anyway. Today I made a mad dash around touGenkyo for the stamp rally there (which officially ended at midnight SLT) because there was Vitamen underwear to be had, and I’m not turning that down. Thank you to Dev for the help in finding everything! After much clicking of glowing prim ‘stampenises’ (yep, the hunt items were little neon dicks; kinda cute!) and wearing 12 stamp HUDS at the same time, I got everything and then went for a wander around. It’s been a while since I checked out the stores at tGk, and I picked up some gorgeous goodies there, notably this hair and suit.

Yes, folks, I got Skell into a tux. Form an orderly queue over here to begin the fainting process, tyvm.

This lovely skinny tux (and yes, it is skinny) is a single-piece mesh suit from Gabriel. It comes with some nice dress shoes as well, but you know me; I have to put a freaky spin on things, even formalwear, hence these amazing shoes for Slink feet, by Cashmere & Keane. Normally I put the shoe pic last, but I have to just focus on these for a moment, because they’re uh-may-zing.

Note: It appears that Cashmere & Keane may have been rebranded as David Heather, as that’s all I can find in the creator’s profile.

The tux is customisable via a HUD, for a white or black shirt and four types of monochrome bow tie (white, black with white spots, houndstooth, and black). I trust you didn’t expect anything but all-black from Skell, right? Right.

The crown is from a fabulous medieval fairytale gacha at Remarkable Oblivion on the new Mens Dept sim (TMD). I picked up the gold, copper, and frost crowns (frost shown here) and also lucked in with two rares: the goblin and Lancelot helmets. The hair is from a new-to-me designer: Salon de Glow at touGenkyo.

I really wanted to pick out the gorgeous colour of the studded gems in the crown, and I found the perfect eyes (IKON’s Ardent  in eggplant) and makeup (Roar  in black, by MONS) to work with them. Add to that the brown shade of piercings in Mandala’s incredibly-customisable Steking  ears, and the colour pick-up was perfect. These little things matter!

The ring is from a set by Swallow. This was a limited edition, and there were only 12 left when I got to the sale location, so I’m afraid they’re probably no longer available. I will say, though, that Swallow has some amazing jewellery, so you’re bound to find something else you like in the store. Skell’s nail appliers are by BlackLiquid.

The piercings are by Pekka and the skin is an old Tableau Vivant group gift (no longer available; sorry!). Poses by CheerNo Motion.
