Suited and Booted

Counting stars

Everything that kills me makes me feel alive.

I’ve had this One Republic track on repeat this evening, and it’s thrown me into something of a (don’t faint…) colourful mood. And, since today feels like summer’s last fling – at least where I live – I’m in flip-flops and loose, comfy, beachy clothing. Or, at least, the kind of thing I wore the last time I was in India (which was far too long ago; I need another trip back there).

This fabulous linen top is by NerdMonkey. Plenty of colours available, but even though I’ve jumped into ocean blue for the background and a startling red for the hair, I’m never far away from monochromes when it comes to actual clothing.

The pants were a chance find from a new-to-me store called X.hibe. Be warned, as they will  give you a rounded butt (we ain’t talking twinky bubble-butt here; rather you’ll probably need to do some serious shape adjustments in the butt and saddlebags areas) but I love  the looseness and the way the fabric hangs around the outer calves. The folds are especially good.

Sure, the top won’t quite fit over the waistband of the pants, but since I went for the black top and the waistband is dark grey, that doesn’t really show. (You probably only noticed because I mentioned it, right? *g*)

OHAI, I HAS RED HAIRS! Yes, it happens sometimes. Exile is my go-to for this shade, as it’s red without being too yellow-toned. Paired with Birth’s Vince skin (what I call my ‘Holy Cheekbones, Batman!’ skin) and glass-toned Ascension eyes from IKON, it works. Yeah, it just bloody works. Red hair. Go me ;-)

I finally sprang for the Ispachi mesh feet, having tried the demo. And yes, they’re as good as the reviews mention. An absolute perfect  fit, thanks to the multiple size options (foot size, paired with various body fat percentages). You can’t see it here, because of the pant legs, but I didn’t even need the blending layers. And, of course, black polish on my toenails, and Ispachi’s Summer Flip-Flops.

I’m really loving Maxi Gossamer’s mesh jewellery. Much of it is manually resizable, and even when it’s not, you can script-resize. The Raisa  necklace and the Talia Cluster  rings are suitably boho for this look.

Lastly, when am I not  pierced?! Pekka’s Esoteric Unisex Piercing  is what you’ll see me in, more often than not. And Kathya Sczcepanski? Go me (again) because I finally figured out how to spell your surname, so I don’t need to copy/paste anymore XD
