Well. What a shape and a song can bring on, huh?
I picked up this incredible mod/copy shape for just L$100 on Marketplace a week or so ago and just got around to trying it on. It’s the Asian Wild Chi shape from [ BIG ] and it’s stunning. Seriously, just L$100? I couldn’t believe it. Worth picking up, guys.
Since I was listening to the Sound City album (Dave Grohl’s most recent output, together with some amazing musicians; you’ll never hear Paul McCartney in quite the same way again after this album, I tell ya) and it ticked over onto If I Were Me, a beautiful soulful track, the entire photoshoot took on a soulful aspect for me. I headed to Kowloon (where else, for such a background?) and started snapping.
Clothing first. I’m back at XIAJ with this Chrome Hearts Tank and I’ve paired it with some jeans I picked up at The Black Event: the Slim Fit Denims from Sabotage.
The sneakers are from Gizza, the Basketball Shoes in black and white. Unless you have small feet, you will find a tiny bit of poke-through because the jeans are so skinny, but it’s negligible, and to be expected with pants like that.
The skin is Tableau Vivant’s Jing in the ‘pale’ tone. It was about the only Asian skin that I owned, and it worked beautifully. I’m wearing a beard layer from the Miles avatar set by æros, but if you don’t fancy springing for the full avatar just to get it, there’s a ton of other beard options out there, from prim to mesh to tattoo layer.
The shades are cheap as anything for such good quality: the Black & White City Sunglasses by Vangelis Vought (Marketplace). Ear piercings are from Pekka and necklace from Mandala. Hair by Taketomi and hairbase by Exile.
The mesh tattoos are from B*Fly, and the watch/bracelets set is from Mandala. (I would like to see the option for the full set on both wrists, as it only attaches to the left at the moment. I had to juggle with bracelets and rings, since I don’t like to overload each arm too much.)
I picked up this Dead Cattle Ring by Le Primitif at last year’s (2012) Menswear Fashion Week. It fits in with this look perfectly.
